Disposal of Obsolete Computer Equipment$15.00¹
Improper disposal of computer equipment can expose individuals and businesses, large or small, to various risks. Technology Maintenance Shop properly dispose of computer hardware and takes special steps in the areas of security, legal compliance and accountability. Technology Maintenance Shop will:
- Pick up equipment directly from your location
- Thoroughly erase all data from hard disks. This protects against software licensing infringement and loss of sensitive information
- Dispose of equipment (if necessary) according to state and federal environmental laws
- Provide a certified report detailing the services performed and confirming software removal (listed by hardware serial number)
¹ Cost includes pickup and dispose of 1-5 desktop/laptops with Keyboard and Mouse. Due to EPA regulations and the costs associated with disposing of the gas tubes contained within monitors and the materials associated with printers there is a separate $15 disposal charge for monitors and printers and a $5 pick up fee. Call for pricing if more than 6 workstations involved.

The time and effort required to prepare computer systems for donation can often offset any tax advantages. Technology Maintenance Shop can cost-effectively facilitate the steps necessary to donate your equipment and will even deliver the systems to the school or charity of your choice. Technology Maintenance Shop will:
- Pick up equipment directly from your location
- Thoroughly erase all data from hard disks
- Load new operating system (if necessary)
- Provide detailed documentation of the disposition of each piece of equipment (listed by hardware serial number)
- Deliver equipment to specified location or prepare equipment to be picked up
